Clute Family Portrait

I had the honor to photograph our friend Neeli and her children at the end of May. We shot at a park near my place that turned out to have very picturesque scenery. I knew we could get mountain shots, but the small lake provided some great shots as well. The sun was very bright that day and I had to use some creative techniques to get the shots balanced. I really enjoy them and I hope you do too.

Evan’s Family Portrait

Our friends Bryan and Moira recently had a baby girl–Genevieve. For their baby shower we offered a family portrait session. Moira does photography and was very excited. We organized the photo session with Moira’s family in town and did the session yesterday (April 23rd, 2011).

Since the weather was not cooperating, we had the session indoors with the studio lights. We had a tight schedule and produced some intimate photos. I had a blast shooting them and the Evans are quite photogenic.I think you will agree!

Family Portraits

Greetings!

I just completed a very busy year and BK Portraits was put into the background while I completed my graduate degree in education.  I just completed my final class last week and am now re-vamping the business. I am ecstatic to have more free time to shoot and do other things I enjoy (it’s been a stellar year snowboarding at Loveland).

We made some significant changes  BK Portraits recently. We  added new photos to the site and changed the investments structure which you shall find more affordable. Also, customers will now have the ability to view their photos online via the website. It’ll be a custom gallery that I am excited to showcase. Here’s a glimpse of the working prototype:

Colorado Cabin

We spent the weekend up in the mountains at this lovely mountain cabin (rather a house that sleeps 18) in Dillon, CO. We traded some of the costs of staying overnight for house -staging photography– so I had lots of equipment with. The hot tub was fantastic and the views were stunning.

November Portrait

I had the honor shooting for my daughter’s school principal. She had won a fundraiser auction that we donated for her school– McKinley-Thatcher. The weather was near-perfect and the children had a good time at Platt Park, here in Denver.

Camping in Colorado

Where did the summer go? We headed out camping a few weeks ago to a new place southwest of us by 40 miles and got to enjoy the outdoors. The kids loved being outdoors and slept well in their own tent. We hope to get out once more before the snow starts falling in the mountains…

Traditional Portrait Session

A few weeks ago, I met with the Becker family to capture and shoot more traditional family photos. This time, the extended Becker family was there. We met at Washington Park, here in Denver. It was a lovely day, and the session turned out to be great fun!

Children’s Portrait session

I did a children’s portrait session about two weeks ago and had an amazing time. The children were mellow, yet goofy. We basically stayed at their house, but to add something different, we headed to Platt park nearby for some fun.
